It’s one of my favorite substitutes for cheese! I use it on pizza, in lasagna, sandwiches and elsewhere! It is so practical to have it in your fridge, so I always make couple of small jars.

Classic Cashew Cheese Spread
Simple, healthy and super delicious spreadable vegan cashew cheese, perfect for every meal where a cheese substitute is needed.

  • 3 cups cashews (soaked for 6 hours)
  • 1 cup broth (more or less)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tapioca flour
  • salt
  • peper

Instructions
  1. Soak your cashews for 6 hours (it's important not to oversoak cashews, because it starts to change its taste)
  2. Pour cashews into food a processor and blend for 1min, then slowly add broth, while food processor is still on (adjust to desired thickness).
  3. Add the rest of ingredients - onion and garlic powder, agave and vinegar, tapioca flour, salt and pepper.
  4. Place in a clean, air tight container or jar. Keep in the fridge for up to a week.
